This welcome first LP helping of primal psych rock from the Swedish band since 2016’s Requium is a stirring, hallucinogenic cauldron compilation of rarities, standalone singles, B-sides, and digital edits and two brand new tracks. With organ, fat fuzz guitar and woodwind, Fill My Mouth and Queen of the Underground, with the latter a previous Song of the Day, are two of the standouts, but Dig My Grave, the lively and shrill recorders on Union of Mind and Soul, the meaty noise and noodle of guitars on Goatfuzz, the African-style scratchy sound on It’s Time For Fun, and a hark back to their debut B-side The Sun And Moon, are among other favourites. Let’s hope they can properly reform and do a more new material in the future. Gloriously out there. Out on Rocket Recordings but also available via Bandcamp on the embed link below.
