A moody, mysterious minute-long intro with gentle bursts of brass and woodwind veils what becomes a punchy new lead single by the Leeds post-punk band heralding their second LP - Existence is Bliss out on 27 February via SO Recordings. The band describe the song as one that “explores the experience of dealing and living with denial and the way in which it will leave you feeling incapacitated and overflowing (brimming!) with despair. Musically, we wanted a fresh start, perhaps in reaction to that denial.” To explore and enjoy more by DEADLETTER, see aos the other embedded links below.
Who's got something that they want to say?
Who's got something to declare?
Who's got something that they want to say?
Floodgates in the throat held by the breadth of a hair
I've got nothing
I've got nothing …
But I'll tell you something
Who holds contraband in fisted hands?
Who keeps malice up their sleeves?
Who holds contraband in fisted hands?
Veins engraved in faces on the cluck for relief
I've got nothing
I've got nothing…
But I'll tell you something
Give me something
Give me something
Give me something (I've got nothing)
Give me something, give me something, give me something, give me-
Give me something, give me something, give me-
Fill me to the brim
