The Manchester/Bury band return with a catchy disco-funk groove track relating to Guy Garvey’s past relationship with alcohol, and taken from the upcoming EP Audio Vertigo Echo (Elbow EP5), on 6 June, a follow-up to last year’s hit LP Audio Vertigo. The track is the first they recorded with new Al Reeves. The new EP includes last year’s standalone single Adriana Again, as well as three brand new and unheard tracks. I'll never leave these dunes again
(Now that all the money's gone)
I'll dance the blues with my new friends
(Now that all the money's gone)
I landed hard and blew the rent
In seven days that were Heaven sent
And that's where all the money went
On you
I, I saw the moon in your eyes
I heard the tongue in your head
And every word you said caught fire
Right in the middle of me
Right in the middle of me
I hold only you
I'll never leave these dunes behind
Whatever rocks up on the tide
Is how I'll live and how I'll survive
Now that all the money's gone
For as long as you are mine
I'll fill my days with song and wine
A whole wide world in which to hide
With you
I, I saw the moon in your eyes
I heard the tongue in your head
And every word you said caught fire
Right in the middle of me
Right in the middle of me
I hold only you
I've never known and I've never seen you sober
And I've known you and loved you for, oh, so long
I've never known and I've never seen you sober
And I've known you and loved you for, oh, so long
I've never known and I've never seen you sober
And I've known you and loved you for, oh, so long
I've never known and I've never seen you sober
And I've known you and loved you for, oh, so long
I've never known and I've never seen you sober
I've never known and I've never seen you sober
I've never known and I've never seen you sober
And I've known you and loved you for, oh, so long
