Delicately tuneful indie about approaching confrontation, by the Adelaide, Australian four-piece fronted by Venus O’Broin, are heralding their debut album, Mount Zero, on 17 July via Winspear Records. The other three band members are Joshua Doherty (bass), Maxwell Elphick (guitar, drums, vocals), and Jack Medlyn (guitar, drums, vocals).
O’Broin describes how: “Halfway looks at the first confrontations with change. The first confrontations with loss, and every choice feeling like a mistake. When you finally realise things can’t truly ever return to how they once were.”

Halfway in and halfway out
Broke the only thing I cared about
Drove to a new state and left
The burning house, a cigarette behind
Sitting on the floorboards
In the run down 50's kitchen
I thought about the house
That we almost lived in
Halfway in and halfway out
Love is simple, love's a crowd
Pinned up in a pirouette
You tie the collar round my neck
I turned 23
Lying in my bed
Rain blew through the windows
A thousand little arrow heads
Cracks in the ceiling
Splinter in my palm
There's a car crash at the doorstep
And nothing left to hold on
It's coming closеr
It's on the tip of my tongue
I fear you might bе
The only thing that I want
