New York-based musician Shane Lavers’ latest single is a mesmeric, textured piece of dreamy digital and analogue experimentalism about memory, accompanied by Zachary Paul on violin and vocals by Maya McGrory, and out on Jagjaguwar. As Shane puts it: “I think I accidentally cursed myself at some point and I don’t know if I should ignore it or confront it. Written and recorded quickly, vaping too much exploring bad health. Brought to life with Maya and Zach and stitched up with Mr. Carlson. Dedicated to the love we are given.”

When you're out there running with disease in your feet
Thought the music would save you like it saved me
I pray the world will show you mercy like my daddy showed me
I thought I saw you smiling in all my memories
In all my memories
In all my memories
In all my memories
I can see the four horses spitting wine into your glass
And the beauty of your shining picking up outside the back
Don't think anyone could ever feel this bad
I think I'm one in a million, dip the key inside the bag
In the bag
In the bag
In the bag
Did you think that the music could've saved your soul?
You wanna hurt them, wanna do something to show who's in control
But when nothing breaks open and you learn what you don't know
Just the world turning over and their love was just for show
Just for show
Just for show
Just for show
When you're out there running with the wings on your feet
Thought the music would save you, I wish it saved me
I pray the world still has mercy, and you still love me
I thought I saw you smiling in all my memories
In all my memories
In all my memories
In all my memories …
