A heady new brew of Beefheart-ish ironic, acidic, acerbic, anarchic psychedelia by the brilliantly different Melbourne post-punkers Gareth Liddiard, Fiona Kitschin, Lauren Hammel and Erica Dunn, with a song about the absurd overestimation of knowledge, from their forthcoming new album, Fairyland Codex, out on Fire Records. They describe it sounding like “a ranting preacher highlighted over a disenfranchised choir of would-be none believers”, and that “the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities”, adding this quote:
“If you think you know exactly what you are talking about, you are a fucking idiot and the demon spawn of Asmodeus Whore Mother of Abaddon. Heed Tropical Fuck Storm's premonition or die a loser." – Hieronymus Colonoscopy, vocalist with Black Metal legends Hypothermic Immolation.
