A simmering, potent, contemplative new track by acclaimed Sheffield band, their first song since 2022’s album The Car, with proceeds benefiting the charity War Child, heralding the upcoming HELP (2) compilation out on 6 March with various contributors. Following War Child’s 1995 album HELP for children affected by conflict, the new LP will include work by Portishead’s Beth Gibbons and Blur’s Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon, Pulp, Beck and Depeche Mode, Olivia Rodrigo, Fontaines DC, Cameron Winter, Wet Leg and Sampha.

Popular slogans and a bucket of pain
Supercomputer on a jolly crusade
Massaging your forearms, holding your gaze
Stealing your thunder, washing your brain
Trying not to wake up sleeping dogs, just because
You're a lonely little hall of famer
Tonight is heavy on one side, sort of like
A set of cherry red and white loaded dice
You've got something on your mind, and so have I
I can see it from here, oh-oh-oh
Ten years later, it's been a decade
Coming together in a suitable space
Mystery boxes from which you cannot escapе
Sticking your neck out in a spiritual way
Tonight is heavy on one sidе, sort of like
A set of cherry red and white loaded dice
You've got something on your mind, and so have I
I can see it from here, oh-oh-oh
Alternate realities sneak up on the sly, the way I know you like
Please, don't fall in love with everything on opening night
Flashback to infinity, just one more time
(Tonight is heavy on one side)
Tonight is heavy on one side, sort of like
(A set of cherry red and white)
A set of cherry red and white loaded dice
(You've got something on your mind)
You've got something on your mind, and so have I
I can see it from here
