A beautiful, eerily haunting, new experimental indie rock track by the London-based duo of Esmé Creed-Miles and Evie Hilyer-Ziegler, including banjo, violin and cello, and heralding their upcoming self-titled EP, featuring members of Warpaint, released on 14 August via The Bird Records. The pair met at an improvisation night at the Shacklewell Arms in Hackney, London. The EP includes the track Blu Tac Piano, also shown below.
The new label was formed by Charlie Wayne, a contributing member Black Country, New Road, and Mita De (ex-Brownswood Recordings and Ninja Tune).

Black sun, in my eyes
None of this was supposed to burn
Bright moon, do you feel small?
All the heat will break your heart
These tiny revolutions
We’re so tired
To die by your side, is such a heavenly place to die
Black sun in my eyes
Black sun in my eyes
Black sun in my eyes
All the cars
And all the planes
And all the roads of the highways
All the blank days, travel time-frames
And all the deadends
All the back hands
And all the dust
All is decay
All is rust
Happy rows away, like pearls
A broken necklace, It moves onwards
It’s forgotten
And now it’s famous, a breasted landscape
Not to be played with
Try not to drown, in your feelings
Life can heal, I know it’s hard
You’re oiled and tuned-up
Taps and touches
Tangled hair hurts
And your pot-belly, your sticky hands
You’re always smiling
‘Cause you’re too young to understand
Black sun, in my eyes
None of this was supposed to burn
Black sun, in my eyes
None of this was supposed to burn
Supposed to
Supposed to burn
