The latest single by the London singer-songwriter is punchy, powerful punk-psych rock number with tearing riffs and lyrics about damage from troubled relationship, abuse and self-harm, from the forthcoming EP Do You Know Everything?, out on BMG. I wake up, with scratches
I cant explain
When I sleep
They say I’m crying your name
I’m a shell, of the human I was
I can’t tell, if you’re the poison or the cure
Don't apologise to me
If it means nothing at all
And what a sore sight to see (oh oh)
Sing your lullabies to me
No more echoes to call
It’s not bout what i believe (oh oh)
Tell me to be soft
To be hard
To be pretty,
Pretty smart
Not too sharp
And stay proud
But be humble not too loud
Now speak up my darling
Why can't you keep up my darling?
Don't apologise to me
If it means nothing at all
And what a sore sight to see (oh oh)
Sing your lullabies to me
No more echoes to call
It’s not ‘bout what i believe (oh oh) (oh oh)
Mmmmm
Life feels foggy up in the mountains
Call me up, pull me close
