Beautiful, expansive, reverberant sounds of ethereal shimmering guitars and vocals with shades of Cocteau Twins and My Bloody Valentine, heralding the debut album by the London-based trio, out 3 April via Bella Union. The band explain that “Seabird is like a fable, a story of a person pleading to an omnipotent bird and asking, ‘when does it all get better?’ We wanted to recreate that kind of majesty, feeling insignificant to the wider world. It is the perfect introduction to the rest of the record in that regard.” deary are Ben Easton (guitar), Dottie Cockram (vocals, guitar) and Harry Catchpole (drums). holy water
rise up seabird
what do you see
hidden from me
home feels so far
and i can’t remember
when we looked at one another
through my eyes
you will see
something good
(fall into the sun)
through my eyes
you will see
something good
(fall into the sun)
o seabird
your secrets keep you true
to the sky
what keeps you
bathed in blue?
through my eyes
you will see
something good
(fall into the sun)
fall into the sun
o seabird speak only true
how do i be as brave as you?
