A striking collision and fusion of space rock, prog rock, jazz, and sci-fi cinema, with an orchestral, avant-garde, tumultuous interplay between violin and baritone saxophone by the Belgian artist Alexis Pfrimmer, expressing the characterisation of solitary figure witnessing Earth’s collapse before escaping into space, and out on Epictronic Records. The title is inspired by the 2006 surrealistic science fantasy The Science of Sleep (Michel Gondry) and the hypnotic images and rhythm of the Philips Glass score accompanying Godfrey Reggio’s 1982 experimental visual odyssey film Koyaanisqatsi. In the music video for this track, also created by Pfrimmer, after escaping the collapsing planet, the figure’s body eventually dissolves into particles, merging with the stars as a metaphor for the connection between matter and spirit.

Life living still I bet your pardon
Holy truth no exil Is possible
Stare to my naked eye
Light headed
Paranoia
An animal in a death row
Hear my words rumble
The world goes down
Catch 22
Caught in an avalanche
We are nothing next to
Mother earth's revenge
I landed on mars met another deserter
Wondered how our cells
Held together
And after me
The world goes down
By what is this love driven
By what is this life given
Holytruthnoexil
Hear my words rumble
Rarely the gods
Have been so accurate
I hope this is not
Another
Desperate move
And after me
The world goes down.
